Research Project Manager
The University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a Research Project Manager to cover multiple DOD Department of Defense and NIH projects. The research project manager will oversee the day-to-day responsibilities including, but not limited to all operational aspects, meeting deliverable timelines, communicating with study personnel, coordinating study-related meetings, billing & invoicing, and overseeing data collection and analysis. The position requires 10+ years of research experience.
Job Summary
Manages all aspects of one or more projects for a research program and oversees all aspects of the project lifecycle. Provides leadership, technical direction, coordination, and expertise across projects. Analyzes progress and/or performance and prepares reports. Ensures compliance with budget, scope, timeline, and regulations. Assists with external communications.
Essential Functions
Key Responsibilities include:
- Assist & coordinate new grant submissions
- NIH & DOD reports - weekly, monthly, & yearly
- Oversee all IRB, HRPO, IACUC, & ACURO regulatory tasks
- Coordinate lab experiments, team and schedules
- Maintain multiple MyRA applications
- Liaison across multiple projects for vendors & fellow researchers
- Manage ONE DRIVE folders and publication tracking for all studies
- Maintain program spending including excel tracking and program organizational charts Physical Effort
Travel to local clinical sites, extended periods of time on a computer and interaction with medical and lay personnel. No heavy lifting is required.
