Description

ICF is a mission-driven company filled with people who care deeply about improving the lives of others and making the world a better place. Our core values include Embracing Difference; we seek candidates who are passionate about building a culture that encourages, embraces, and hires dimensions of difference.

Our HES team works side by side with customers to articulate a vision for success, and then make it happen. We know success doesn't happen by accident. It takes the right team of people, working together on the right solutions for the customer. We are looking for a seasoned Business Analyst who will be a key driver to make this happen.

The products that comprise the program you will be working on are mission critical systems for the federal government. They are used every day by tens of thousands of healthcare providers across the country to ensure patients receive the highest quality of care possible. We build this software using modern technologies, DevOps practices, and cloud-based infrastructure. The work setting is highly dynamic, with numerous project teams (each with multiple Scrum teams) working towards a common vision to deliver an integrated solution.

You will play a pivotal role on a high performing Agile software development team, driving the communication between the development team and the client through the execution of the product backlog. You will build a holistic understanding of the system such that upstream inputs and downstream dependencies can be properly managed. You will work to refine the product backlog alongside the product owner and program manager. You will engage with individuals from many different disciplines across the team, including subject matter experts, business analysts, architects, and technical leads. You will develop and enforce team standards for documentation and ticketing to best communicate the requirements from stakeholders to team members.

Our core work hours are 10am - 4pm Eastern Time with the option to start earlier or work later depending on your time zone.

Responsibilities:

  • Define acceptance criteria for all User Stories.

  • Refine technical requirements from business requirements for use by systems engineers.

  • Effectively break down Features and Epics into User Stories.

  • Standardize the delivery of User Stories to team members for technical refinement.

  • Collaborate closely with a wide range of individuals on the Agile team.

  • Refine the vision of the program and products alongside the product owner.

  • Communicate daily and weekly progress to key stakeholders.

  • Perform an active role preparing plans for Program Increment Planning meetings as part of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) process.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience with at least 4+ years as a Business Analyst.

  • 4 years’ experience in data analytics.
