WESCO Senior Specialist - Marketing Content (Remote) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

As a Marketing Content, Senior Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in building engagement with our 150,000 customers worldwide and capturing the attention of potential customers. Your expertise in content creation and delivery will be crucial in communicating how we can address our customers' most pressing challenges and support our strategic business goals while adhering to brand guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborative Editing (40%): Work closely with subject matter experts to refine and enhance the customer message, ensuring consistency with our brand language.

  • Content Creation (40%): Craft compelling content that highlights our solutions to customer challenges, utilizing a variety of mediums including print, video, tradeshows, and digital.

  • Proofreading (20%): Diligently review materials to ensure adherence to style and formatting guidelines, maintaining impeccable quality standards.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop materials for our supplier partner marketing program, supporting sales opportunities and growth.

  • Engage in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, leveraging your exceptional communication skills to further our marketing objectives.

  • Coordinate with key contacts for implementation and communication of sales promotions and marketing campaigns from concept development to finished product, including development of marketing collateral such as social and digital campaigns, as well as traditional marketing such as direct mailers, brochures, flyers, catalog pages, etc.

  • Assist with development and manage tracking of lead-generation activities such as link building, directory listings, blog, social media, and online press release generation, as requested

  • Monitor customer engagement and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of marketing campaigns and provide insight on how to improve or expand marketing campaigns..

  • Assist with research and analysis activities such as web metrics/trend analysis and tracking, competitive web site/eCommerce monitoring, customer research, and competitor research.

  • Support sales and marketing needs of sales and supplier product groups at global, national, regional, and local levels.

  • Monitor customer engagement and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of marketing campaigns and provide insight on how to improve or expand marketing campaigns.

  • Conduct meticulous proofreading to ensure all marketing materials meet the highest standards of quality, adhering to style and formatting guidelines.

  • Develop and execute innovative content strategies to enhance customer engagement and acquisition across various platforms, including print, video, tradeshows, and digital mediums.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to produce high-quality content that aligns with brand language and elevates the customer message.

  • Analyze customer feedback and engagement metrics to inform content creation and marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and KPIs.

  • Support the marketing team in the creation and delivery of materials for supplier partner marketing programs, contributing to sales growth and opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or relevant industry preferred.

  • 4 to 5 years required, 6 years preferred of product, solution or field marketing experience, preferably in Fortune 500 company.

  • Marketing strategy and implementation, including a working knowledge of multi-channel marketing and associated best practices.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, combined with an ability to communicate clearly and succinctly to internal and external groups.

  • Highly organized and detail oriented, with a customer-centric focus and commitment to quality.

  • Strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to spot questionable information or unusual data trends, combined with a disciplined problem-solving process that applies conceptual thinking to identify root cause(s) and provide appropriate solution(s).

  • Able to spot new and evaluate existing business opportunities, including the ability to ask good questions, look beyond the obvious, and see the “big picture.”

  • Strong mathematical and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), working knowledge and at least basic- to intermediate-level HTML or wordpress skills.

  • Strong creativity, out-of-the-box thinking, and entrepreneurial drive; able to work with autonomy and self-direction.

  • Able to influence others through effective negotiation techniques and strong interpersonal skills, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
