Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Software Developer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Software Developer will be a crucial part of our team, focusing on enhancing an existing application with new data fields and corrections. This role primarily involves backend development, bug tracking, and database management in the tech industry.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and introduce new features to our application.

• Conduct thorough analysis of existing application user experiences and features, suggesting and implementing necessary improvements.

• Write efficient and testable code, following the best software development practices.

• Take part in code reviews, focusing on improvements in code quality and continuity of business operations.

• Work towards maintaining and improving the performance aspects of the software.

• Troubleshoot and improve existing systems as required.

• Ensure enhancements are backward compatible for older versions of the application.

• Collect, analyze, and act on feedback from end-users to continuously enhance application functionality and user experience.

• Stay updated with the latest technology trends and provide insights on how they can be leveraged to improve the application.

• Utilize skills in Atlassian Jira, Backend Development, Bug Tracking, C++, Database, AB Testing, Agile Scrum, Ajax, API Development, and ASP.NET to accomplish tasks and contribute to team goals. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in software development

• Proficient in Atlassian Jira and Agile Scrum methodologies

• Experience in Backend Development and API Development is required

• Knowledge of bug tracking and AB Testing processes

• Skilled in programming languages like C++ and ASP.NET

• Familiarity with Ajax technology is essential

• Must have experience in Database management and development

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is desirable

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent organizational skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
