Pressley Ridge Speech Language Pathologist (School for the Deaf) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Review referral information for all new students to determine history of speech or language (ASL and English) deficits, including language deprivation

  • Conduct speech and language (ASL and English) screening evaluations of all new students and for all students, at least, every two years

  • Coordinate and conduct individual and group therapy targeting specific speech or language skills identified through assessment procedures

Essential Qualifications

Education/Credentials/Licensure.

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology or Communications Disorders, Certification of Clinical Competence or must be eligible for CCC within one year of hire, and Certification through Pennsylvania Department of Education. Pennsylvania State Speech Language Pathology license preferred

  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
