Student Services Coordinator

 

The Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Pittsburgh is ranked number 8 in the US News and World Report. We offer an entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, and post-professional programs leading to a Master of Science in Physical Therapy, PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences, and dual DPT-PhD in Bioengineering degrees as well as post-graduate certificates. The DPT degree is delivered in two formats: residential and hybrid.

 

Job Summary

Coordinates the admissions process for applicants to include active correspondence with and visit logistics for prospective students. Participates in recruitment activities and projects.

Essential Functions

The Student Services Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the Student Services Administrator and the Clinical Education Administrator. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing student support related services such as assisting with orientation and special events, collecting and tracking student information, assisting with enrollment and scheduling, clinical education support, and finance tracking. Must be able to use a computer, Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe, and have a working knowledge of University Policies and Procedures.

After the initial orientation is complete, the incumbent will be given general direction but is expected to perform essential functions of the job autonomously, accurately, and efficiently with little to no direct supervision.

Physical Effort

Position is sedentary: must be able to sit for up to 8 hours per day. Must be able to reach and bend for office supplies, files, and equipment. Must be able to lift or carry up to 25 pounds.
