Omnicell, Inc. Technical Trainer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Technical Trainer

Omnicell is seeking to fill a remote Technical Trainer role. The Technical Trainer will provide expert product-specific training to customers in support of Omnicell central pharmacy and point of use solutions.

Major Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality and effective training that adheres to training industry and Omnicell training standards. Provide special or customized training when required.

  • Develop and deliver additional training classes to meet the needs of the business.

  • Deliver classroom-based trainings at the customer location or from the office in Cranberry Township, PA.

  • Partner with the Instructional Design team to design, develop, and deliver training that meets customer and employee needs. Participate in quality assurance audits to ensure that documentation and training tools are accurate and understandable from a user standpoint.

  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction to ensure effectiveness of training. Solicit training satisfaction feedback and implement program changes, as needed. Provide customer feedback and requests for product enhancement received during training to technical product management.

  • Define and analyze customer challenges and recommend solutions to management.

  • Demonstrate active departmental engagement and leadership in collaborating with management and other team members to develop and implement final solutions.

  • Identify and build relationships with appropriate subject matter experts to acquire product knowledge and/or troubleshoot issues.

  • Demonstrate good judgment about when to ask for help from senior team members or management about customer issues.

Required Knowledge/Skills:

  • Demonstrate excellent training facilitation skills.

  • Detail-oriented, independent, and able to adjust to changing priorities.

  • Understanding of technical concepts and setup in support of healthcare systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Four years of healthcare experience

  • Two years of experience working as a hospital pharmacy technician

  • Two years of experience in one or more of the following areas: the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software systems, hardware break-fix support and/or repair, hardware and software product implementations, or training on hardware/software systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree

  • Certification as a pharmacy technician

  • Healthcare software product implementation and/or support, healthcare IT management, or healthcare IT consulting.

  • Experience with Omnicell Pharmacy products.

  • Microsoft Office proficiency.

  • Project management experience.

Work Conditions:

  • The position is field based.

  • Position requires 75% or more overnight travel.

  • May require long periods of sitting, standing, and staring at a computer screen.
