Deloitte Technology Strategy Manager in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Work you'll do

  • Current State Assessment:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' existing technology landscapes, including infrastructure, applications, data management, and security.

  • Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis) within the current technology environment.

  • Document and present findings to stakeholders, providing clear insights and actionable recommendations.

  • Future State Development:

  • Collaborate with clients to define their strategic technology vision and objectives.

  • Develop detailed future state requirements that align with business goals and industry best practices.

  • Create roadmaps and implementation plans to transition from current to future state, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Engage with senior leadership and key stakeholders to understand business needs and technology requirements.

  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather input, validate findings, and build consensus on technology strategies.

  • Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technology strategy documents, including vision statements, strategic goals, and tactical plans.

  • Identify emerging technology trends and assess their potential impact on clients' business operations.

  • Provide thought leadership and strategic guidance on technology investments and innovation.

  • Implementation Support:

  • Work with project managers and technical teams to ensure successful execution of technology strategies.

  • Monitor progress, address challenges, and adjust plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients throughout the implementation process.

Serving federal, state, & local government clients as well as public higher education institutions, our team of over 15,000+ professionals bring fresh perspective to help clients anticipate disruption, reimagine the possible, and fulfill their mission promise.

The GPS Strategy offering leads strategic planning & portfolio management and reporting & monitoring workstreams. This includes day-to-day client interaction and leads to the creation of relevant resources and materials (such as strategic plans, roadmaps, etc.) and work products (such as development of performance metrics, tracking dashboards, etc.) in order to successfully implement client vision.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role

  • Travel up to 5-25% based on the clients and industries you serve

  • 7+ years of experience with executive-level engagement, presentations and communication

  • 7+ years of experience with Process Improvement and Process Analysis through the lens of technology landscapes and enhancements

Preferred:

  • Prior professional services or federal consulting experience

  • Experience working with Lean Six Sigma

  • Well versed in Business Process Re-Engineering

  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience
