Title: Trade Compliance Analyst

Location: Pittsburgh

Duration: 1 year+

Description:

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage Team inbox allocation and response

  • Manage review of daily trade compliance blocks

  • Manage daily courier import compliance reviews.

  • Manage electronic records in on-line files for trade compliance including record retention, duty drawback support, and other trade compliance needs to 'Pull' documents from a service provider or customer system and Upload into ITC electronic recordkeeping system, pull documents from ITC Recordkeeping system and upload onto SharePoint, etc.

  • Follow documented procedures/guidance documents to perform Canada import and U.S. export entry reviews, material and customer end use reviews and review systematic blocked documents related to trade compliance reasons.

  • Review desk level procedures and update accordingly

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor"s degree and 1 year of business experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • International logistics and/or international trade compliance

  • Knowledge in importing with U.S. Customs and other government agency regulatory clearances along with common knowledge of compliance requirements

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Microsoft Office proficiency

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Attention to detail to review international transactions for accuracy

  • Sense of urgency to respond to customer inquiries within department standards

  • Must take responsibility for decisions but know when to seek management and/or team involvement.

  • Must possess strong organizational, quick thinking and problem solving skills and take initiative.

  • Must exercise flexibility in adapting to new requirements, systems and process/controls.

  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external customers and suppliers, team skills, and computer application skills are a must.

  • Must take direction straightforwardly.
