We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Network Engineer to join our Network Production Services Organization. This role is in Pittsburgh/Lake Mary, HYBRID (2-3 days in office required). Candidates must reside within a commutable distance to this work location, as we are unable to accommodate 100% virtual work arrangements. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Designing and implementing network architectures to support data center services, cloud and virtualization throughout the BNY global landscape. Design and configure Data Center network architectures using the latest technologies in network services. Collaborating with other teams to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure with servers, storage, and applications. Implementing security measures to protect data center networks. Staying current with the latest networking technologies and trends to ensure the data center network infrastructure is optimized and up to date. Participating in the design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Documenting network infrastructure and configurations for reference and troubleshooting purposes. Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors and partners to ensure the smooth operation of the network infrastructure.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred8-10 years of related experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus. Proven experience as a Data Center Network Engineer or similar role. Strong proficiency in data center and cloud networking concepts and protocols. Solid understanding of network security principles. Ability to develop professional documentation (diagrams, specifications, and technical requirements) Expert knowledge of Network Routing protocols:  example eBGP, iBGP and OSPF. Data Center Fabric Technologies: Layer 3 Technology: This includes technologies such as routing protocols and network address translation (NAT) used for managing and optimizing data transmission at the network layer of the OSI model. Layer 2 Segmentation: This includes understanding how to segment a network at the data link layer to improve security and performance. At BNY, our culture speaks for itself.
