Berkshire Health Systems Dietary Manager in Pittsfield, Massachusetts
DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
The Manager is responsible to support administrative and operational direction for the safe, efficient, effective daily Operations, work flow and pprovides supervision of the daily operations for dietary services of Berkshire Health Systems nutrition resources and programs including food production, catering, cafeteria service, receiving, and patient service. Acts on behalf of the organization, supervising staff to ensure that quality meals are provided for all patients, visitors, and other customers at a level consistent with department standards. Ensures daily practices are in compliance with all regulatory standards.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
Experience:
Two years previous food services supervisory or leadership experience required.
Three years of nutrition experience.
Experience working with government and third-party payers preferred.
Customer Service experience required.
Proven leadership skills in quality and process improvement.
Experience with Hospital regulations and compliance.
Meditech Client Server experience preferred.
Experience in a multi-hospital system preferred.
Education and Training:
Master's Degree in nutrition related field preferred.
License, Certification & Registration:
RD - Registered Dietician through the Commission on Dietetic Registration preferred.
SERVESAFE - Servesafe Certification within six months of employment.
Process improvement certification preferred.
