Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking to hire a PE Engineering candidate. The role involves fieldwork and customer interaction, focusing on utility projects (gas, water, electrical, etc.). The candidate will primarily handle the civil aspects of these projects, including reviewing designs and documentation for PE stamping. Additional roles an responsibilities as below -

Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.

Conduct site visits and field inspections to gather data and ensure project compliance.

Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to develop project designs and solutions.

Perform calculations and analyses to support engineering designs.

Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and documentation.

Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.

Utilize AutoCAD and Civil3D to create and modify engineering drawings.

Participate in project meetings and provide technical support as needed.

Ensure all designs and documentation comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

Assist in the preparation of project proposals and presentations.

Monitor project progress and provide updates to senior engineers and project managers.

Support the development and implementation of project schedules and budgets.

Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Provide input on improving project processes and methodologies.

Ensure safety standards and protocols are followed on all project sites.

Skills and Requirements

Engineering Degree (ABET Accredited)

4 to 5+ years professional working experience

Professional Engineer (PE) Licence in the state of Illinois

Working knowledge within AutoCAD Experience working on Civil Projects & Utility Projects
