About the Team

The Senior Manager, Automation Engineering is a member of the Fulfillment Engineering team. The purpose of this role is to lead the engineering design for an automated facility, which will include cross-functional collaboration, capacity modeling, layout and process flow development, and business case modeling.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Automation Engineering. This is an onsite role based in Plainfield, Indiana; a full relocation package is available, but we are not considering remote candidates at this time. Anticipated travel for this role is 50%.

What you'll do....

  • Data and Digital Literacy: Leverage data analysis tools to explore highly complex data, develop and test hypotheses, influence strategic work, and build and provide insights to construct stories and make decisions

  • Process Flow Design : Interpret information to quantify the anticipated outcome of supply chain decisions, describe the typical tasks associated with using and managing suppliers, and understand issues and considerations for inbound and outbound logistics.

  • Automation Integration: Identify common issues and considerations for bringing a new automation design to a facility, work with teams to measure and manage project performance, document implementation plans and estimates, and participate in the development of technology interfaces and bridges.

  • Automation System Design: Promote the usage of automation machineries, participate in implementation and training, and conduct cost-benefit analysis of machineries while monitoring actual versus plan and consulting on the use of advanced machineries

  • Mechatronics: Create views of objects in 2 and 3 dimensions, perspective drawings and orthogonal views, and use design and visualization to perform basic drafting, among other responsibilities.

  • Project Management: Take responsibility for project management tasks, including but not limited to identifying project risks and vulnerabilities, setting up communication and contingency plans, conducting project reviews, and building a strategic road map to identify and leverage synergies.

  • Continuous Improvements: Streamline the critical workflow for executing key processes and develop methods for improving and establishing controls for critical processes

  • Engineering Economics : Advise on a variety of financial tools, techniques, and approaches and assist with building business cases

  • You're customer-centric in spirit and in execution

  • You have an engineering degree in an Engineering and an Advanced degree in any Discipline.

  • At least 5 years of Engineering Experience- Supply Chain fulfillment or distribution experience a bonus!

  • You have worked with Navisworks and/or AutoCAD

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field and 4 years' experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area. Option 2: 6

years' experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area.

2 years' supervisory experience.
