Fortive Corporation Production Assembly in Plainville, Connecticut

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Under moderate supervision, receive general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments following established procedures.

  • Solve problems of limited scope.

  • Quality of work is verified by the assembler, and occasionally by another source.

  • May make proper computer transactions to move product and work order through the system.

  • When needed, frequent contact with associates, supervisor and possibly engineering, sales, and production control requiring reporting and exchanging of information with interpretation or expediting products.

QUALIFICATION AND JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred. (5 years of experience required in place of High School Diploma or GED.)

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 1 year experience as an assembler.

  • Ability to identify and read the value of electronic components and read/understand simple production or engineering prints.

  • Requires basic command of English, basic math skills, good manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination.

  • Basic knowledge of related practices, processes, policies and procedures. Operate numerous shop/test tools and equipment (with certification where applicable).

The employee must occasionally lift, carry, push or pull up to 15 pounds .
