Certified Sterile Processing Technician (SPDT) – Fulltime Evenings

Are you looking for your next step? Level II Trauma and Magnet facility is looking for a Certified Sterile Process Technologist for our fast-paced, busy OR, Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Plano - 6200 West Parker Road, TX 75093-7914

Work hours: Full time Evenings | 40 Hour/ Week | Monday through Friday On-call and rotating weekends required.

Here's What You Need:

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required

  • One year of sterile processing experience Preferred

  • CSPDT – Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician upon Hire Required OR

  • CBSPD – Certification Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution upon Hire Required OR

  • CRCST – Certified Registered Central Service Technician upon Hire Required

What You Will Do:

  • Perform scanning of instrument trays for location and creation of count sheet/label.

  • Demonstrate proper assembly technique for instrument trays.

  • Demonstrate wrapping/containing of instruments/tray.

  • Perform scanning of instrument trays to track location using the SPM system.

  • Demonstrate decontamination process according to policy and procedure. Cleaning of instruments manually using automated cleaners

  • Operate sterilizer according to the manufacturer’s instructions and the department’s policy.
