Robert Half Desktop Support Analyst in Plano, Texas

Description

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Desktop Support Analyst in Plano, Texas. With a focus on the IT industry, this role will involve the delivery of technical support, problem-solving, and training for end-users. Responsibilities:

• Deliver technical support to end-users through various channels, including phone, email, and in-person interactions

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to computer hardware and software

• Install, configure, and test computer systems, peripherals, and software applications

• Conduct routine maintenance on computer systems and networks

• Update computer software and operating systems as required

• Document and track all support requests and resolutions in a systematic manner

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of IT documentation and knowledge base

• Conduct training and provide guidance to end-users on computer systems and software

• Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets

• Utilize skills in Cisco Technologies, Citrix Technologies, Computer Hardware, Database, Dell Technologies, Backup Technologies, and Configuration Management

Requirements • Proficient in Cisco Technologies

• Demonstrated ability in Citrix Technologies

• Strong knowledge of Computer Hardware

• Familiarity with Database systems

• Competence in Dell Technologies

• Proficiency in Backup Technologies

• Experience with Configuration Management

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems

• Excellent interpersonal skills to assist non-technical users

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Ability to prioritize and manage work under pressure

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred

• Relevant professional certifications are a plus
