Our client in Plano, TX is seeking a Material Handler (Picker/Packer) to join their team. With this position, you will be part of the warehouse department supporting the production floor. The ideal candidate will have attention-to-detail, good organization skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Material Handler (Picker/Packer)

Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00/hr depending on experience

Job Type: May only be a short-term role

Hours / Location: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm / Plano, TX

What’s the Job?

• Unboxes raw material and performs minor assembly with power screwdriver

• Packages materials and products manually.

• Folds and tapes boxes, applies labels, and stacks boxes on pallets according to direction.

• Performs basic quality control checks including measuring, weighing, strength testing, package counts, and evaluating product or package appearance.

• Inspects deliveries for damages or defects, records discrepancies, notifies team.

What’s Needed?

• Picker/Packer and material handling experience

• Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms while taking and hearing

• Frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance of others

• Capable of following written instructions and pre-established guidelines.

• Attention to detail and good organization skills, as well as ability to work in a fast-paced environment
