Job Description:

We are looking for an individual who has a passion for turning data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions.

The selected individual will support the IMS segment Engineering Business Analytics and Measurement team, and as such will help conduct full lifecycle on analytics initiatives to include requirements analysis and design, develop analysis and reporting capabilities, and continuously monitor performance and quality control plans to identify and implement improvements for the IMS Segment Engineering information infrastructure.

Essential Functions:

• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques where appropriate and provide ongoing reports.

• Assist in the development and implementation of data collection systems/processes as necessary.

• Acquire and integrate data from primary or secondary data sources.

• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in reasonably complex datasets.

• Filter and “clean” data, and review reports and performance indicators to locate and correct code and data issues.

• Develop analyses, reports and/or data visualizations to deliver analytics products to data consumers within the business.

• Support the on-going maintenance of previously developed and new Engineering Analytics products as required.

• Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs.

  Qualifications:

• Ability to achieve objectives with general oversight and be responsible for executing complex projects.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Strong oral and written communications skills, and ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.

• Knowledge of and experience with databases; adept at development of complex queries, views, stored procedures, etc. (SQL Server).

• Prior experience with data reporting/business intelligence tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, etc.).

• Experience developing ETL employing tools such as SSIS or Alteryx

• Expertise with Microsoft Excel and VBA macro development.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

• BS in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, Statistics, or other related fields.

• Requires strong knowledge of job area. Typically viewed as having a specialty within discipline. May have broad knowledge of project management. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

  Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience processing data from SAP, Cost Point, PeopleSoft or other similar ERP systems

• Experience with Engineering metrics development and deployment

• Experience developing Power Apps, and automation using Power Automate

• Experience developing, maintaining, and administering SharePoint sites.

• Programming experience with Python, R, or other similar related languages
