 Job Description:

Physical Security Specialist

Top Three Skillsets:

1) Experience and demonstrated ability in the installation, service and troubleshooting of enterprise ACS, VMS and CCTV components.

 2) Demonstrated ability to work with diverse people utilizing effective oral and written communication skills.

3) Detailed orientated to plan and manage multiple security projects at once.

Years of Experience and Education (manager's preference)

-Bachelors degree or 5+ years Physical Security hardware and software technical expertise in an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities:

•       Work within a team who oversees the administration, programming, engineering and support of the national footprint of security systems, including physical security, ACS (Access Control Systems), VMS (Video Management Systems), CCTV (Closed Circuit TV) and Intrusion/BA systems.

•       Design, document and implement physical security technology using architectural drawings and as-builts.

•       Conduct and manage system maintenance, upgrades and audits.

•       Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and application software issues.

•       Coordinate with security vendors during installations and support visits when necessary.

Qualifications:

•       5+ years Physical Security hardware and software technical expertise in an enterprise environment.

•       5+ years supporting Physical Security projects.

•       Excellent communication and writing skills.

•       Ability to plan and direct multiple projects to meet organizational goals.

Technical Skills:

•       Application installation and support for enterprise ACS, VMS and CCTV components.

•       Hardware troubleshooting of ACS, VMS and CCTV systems.

•       Basic Windows knowledge including network concepts and troubleshooting.

•       Experience with security architectural drawings.

Summary:

The main function of the support engineer is to support engineering projects by adapting and applying engineering techniques, conducting tests and inspections, and preparing reports and calculations.

Job Responsibilities:

-Determine engineering requirements by conducting inspections and analytical tests, analyzing and synthesizing data, maintaining control charts, determining root causes, and preparing bid specifications.

  • Resolve engineering problems by collecting analyzing information, researching, analyzing, adapting, and modifying engineering techniques.

-Recommend solutions and prepare drawings, schematics, and diagrams.

-Meet cost standards by preparing cost-benefit analyses, and track and report expenses.

-Maintain and improve quality results by completing quality assurance tests, following standards, studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes, and implementing changes.

-Collect and enter data, generate reports and presentations, and summarize data and trends.
