We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Operations Tech in our US Onshore Resources & Carbon Management (ORCM), Rockies Business Unit based in Platteville, Colorado.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

·       Complete LDAR and AVO inspections at production facilities

·       Troubleshooting emissions equipment or root cause emission issues

·       Perform minor repairs to production and emissions equipment

·       Ensure proper operations of production and emission control equipment

·       Emission inspections of drilling and completion locations

·       Air monitoring follow-ups

·       Ensure accurate and timely data is recorded

·       Utilize SAP for workorder/purchase order management

·       Assist with developing and testing new systems

·       Report incidents immediately

·       Report spills/releases immediately

·       Be familiar with and understand state and federal air regulations

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in oil and gas operations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with basic office computer applications.
  • Must have good communication skills and the ability to work in a cooperative team environment.

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Grade and salary will be commensurate with relevant education and experience.

 

Professional/Technical Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications:

Valid US driver’s license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle is required.

 

Relocation:

This position is not eligible for domestic relocation. Successful candidate must have residency within a 50 mile radius of Oxy’s field office.

 

Travel Requirements:

The percentage of travel required for this position may be 0-10%.

 

Work Schedule:

This position is on a 9/80 work schedule.

Salary Range

Discretionary Bonus

$84,000 - $115,500
