JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary: The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville is seeking outstanding applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in computer engineering. Candidates with interests and expertise in traditional and emerging areas of computer engineering, including Internet of Things, Next Generation Computing, Wearable Systems, Computer Architecture, and Embedded Systems, as well as strong candidates from related areas of computing will be considered. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses, conduct research, and provide community and university service. This is a full time, benefit-eligible position with a 9-month academic appointment.Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.The University of Wisconsin System has anationally top ranked retirement planand acomprehensive benefits package. Responsibilities: The primary responsibility will be to develop and teach undergraduate courses in computer engineering and related subjects. The applicant is expected to teach some of the courses using alternative delivery methods including distance education. Candidates with expertise/experience in high-performance GPU/TPU computing, machine learning, cybersecurity, IoT, or wearable systems are particularly encouraged to apply.
