University of Vermont Medical Group, NY LLC Mammographer Level I in Plattsburgh, New York
Primary Shift: 0930-1800
Secondary Shifts: 1200-2030, 0730-1600
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Performs mammography procedures on patients as ordered by physicians and health care providers in an ethical and professional manner according to hospital, department policy and according to the ACR, MQSA, and New York State Department of Health Guidelines. Must assist in all aspects of the Women's Imaging Center's procedures and quality control.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Skills Required:
1. Must be licensed by the New York State Department of Health and maintain current registered ARRT (Radiographer) status. Must be MQSA certified and meet mandated education. Must obtain ARRT (Mammographer) credentials within one year.
2. Requires sufficient sensitivity and interpersonal skills in dealing with apprehensive patients and families in a professional and compassionate manner.
3. Requires positive and effective communicating skills for interaction with physicians and staff in any situation.
4. Requires an ability to think and act quickly in order to deliver efficient quality care in a variety of stressful situations.
5. Must be BLS certified (or obtained within 3 months)
As applicable, the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of the patients for which care is being provided.
