They accurately interpret customer and industrial specifications and provide direction to achieve customer compliant components.In a typical day, your expertise:Provides nondestructive inspection and supports NDT engineering to help execute technical requirements and methodology of customer productCreates inspection techniques conforming to Technical or Customer SpecificationsPerforms NDT evaluation of NTi materials to support Corporate, Commercial, Engineering and Operations objectivesMaintains Calibration of Non-destructive equipmentPerforms inspection utilizing various inspection equipment/processes, e.g., FPI, UT and RadiographyAssists with production implementation of NDT; products, methods, or processes related to industrialization of additive manufacturingResolves and/or documents issues arising from inspectionsProposes improvements to increase profitability, competitiveness, reliability, quality, safety, etc.Adheres to and promotes applicable Policies, Procedures, Safety Rules & Regulations and Security GuidelinesProvides support to management as required with assigned tasksSupports and performs additional quality inspection activities including raw material and consumables, 3D scanning and dimensional control, CMM operation, electrode analysisOther duties and responsibilities as required for the successful operation of businessThis position will have access to technology and/or software source code that is subject to U.S. export controls. U.S. person as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or who is a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))We're thrilled to find candidates with:Technical education including a minimum of an associate degree, certificate from an NDT Trade School or high school diploma with equivalent experienceMinimum 2 - 5 years of NDT experience as a Level I or II in Ultrasonics or RadiographyPreferably a ASNT SNT-TC-1A NDT Level II in UltrasonicExperience in aerospace manufacturing, preferably in NDT evaluation.General understanding of CATIA or similar CAD softwareFamiliarity with various NDT methods including the complimentary nature and limitation of each methodAbility to interpret and apply Technical Specifications and Customer inspection requirementsFamiliarity with calibrated measuring devicesIntermediate computer-skills experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe AcrobatFluent mastery of English languageBasic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principlesOther competencies critical to success include:Proactive, self-driven and eager to learnCollaborative skillsAbility to handle several tasks simultaneouslyGood communication and cooperation skillsAble to work independently in a structured manner, take initiative and complete processesStructure and accuracy in daily workThe ability to read and apply Standard Operating Procedures, Standard Work and Work InstructionsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsThis position will require access to technology and/or software source code that is subject to U.S. export controls.
