We are seeking an outstanding Sr Manager, Product Management to join the Pharma Analytics team. This is a remarkable opportunity for the right candidate to join a market-leading company that is fast-paced, driven, and passionate about making a difference! This position will lead the protein quantification portfolio for biopharma QA/QC applications, including strategy, end-to-end life cycle management, and top and bottom-line growth.

A Day in the Life

  • Develop product strategies for the protein quantification portfolio, and evolution of the product platform. This includes identifying, establishing, and leading strategic relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry opinion leaders.

  • Lead ongoing management of key external partnerships, ensuring alignment on joint objectives, including new product development. Drive collaboration with partners to achieve strategic growth goals, optimize product development timelines, and expand the portfolio in alignment with market needs.

  • Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific externally at conferences and tradeshows as a KOL for the product line. Communicate product strategy and tactics to the market.

  • Champion successful launches through requirements, development, and commercialization. Work closely with cross-functional teams, being responsible for the ultimate customer and financial success of new product introductions (NPIs).

  • Responsible for revenue, margin and market share objectives.

  • Serve as product champion with internal partners, regional teams, and with customers including key accounts.

  • Stay connected with the field organization (e.g., sales and technical support) by participating in training sessions and in the sales process. This includes visiting customers, collaborating on pricing strategies, and providing customer support.

  • Provide input to business unit annual strategic plan development including STRAP and AOP.

  • Support new product directions by working across functions to develop business opportunities for revenue growth (organic and inorganic) and cost reduction using voice of customer research. Develop long-term product roadmap according to business strategy.

  • Develop cases for investments and present to general manager/senior leadership.

  • Provide market and customer input, analyze profitability, and monitor key financial indicators.

  • Lead cross-functional teams with R&D, operations, commercial groups, and external partners to implement programs.

Keys to Success

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field or business required.

  • MBA or equivalent experience is highly preferred.

Experience

  • Over 5 years of experience in product management, product development, field applications support, or related fields.

  • Bioproduction or Life Sciences experience preferred.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed organization and working directly with customers.

  • Strong leadership, project management, and planning skills, and confidence in making decisions and accepting changes.

  • Experience working with customers, commercial teams, and a diverse range of sales channels strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to make clear decisions in ambiguous scenarios.

  • Driven to achieve desired outcomes quickly.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to travel approximately 30% globally.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $155,900.00–$215,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
