Job Description

The Position

This Associate Director role will work directly with the Organon Enterprise Corporate Functions - Business & Business Technology (BT) stakeholders - in use and apply data to produce actionable insights that drive greater customer and market understanding to inform Enterprise Corporate Functions strategies and help meet business objectives. This role will be an integral part in helping to facilitate the creation of actionable Enterprise Corporate functions use-cases that create ‘data-driven’ decisions, that leverage knowledge across the organization and be more relevant to the customer.

Throughout the process from ideation through deployment, the candidate will partner with business, value team leaders and vendors to understand the Enterprise Corporate Functions ecosystem, identify data and system integration requirements, define and document requirements across multiple initiatives; and propose and drive the delivery of analytical solutions leveraging SAFe framework.

The preferred candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, understanding of healthcare industry & technology, The candidate will have demonstrated consistently strong leadership skills, an ability to work independently as well as part of a team and deal well with ambiguity. This role will require interfacing and collaborating with many business and BT teams so strong communication and collaboration skills are a must.

The Organon Data and Analytics (D&A) organization is transforming the availability and consumption of data to enable artificial intelligence (AI) and data-driven insights for internal and external stakeholders. We are seeking an energetic, forward-thinking leader that will continue to develop our data-related competency areas and solutions that support founders across our Commercial functions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs to valuable data & analytics products. Define or harmonize strategies and roadmaps for the organization in alignment with desired business outcomes and regulatory requirements.

  • Become a trusted BT partner with the Organon Enterprise Corporate Functions team, vendors as well as various BT teams to understand, shape and surface emerging demand in support of the data & analytics strategy and value.

  • Proactively identify Enterprise Corporate Functions data & analytics needs and associated technology solutions and needs as well as manage a governance structure to facilitate the prioritization and project selection process, and drive alignment on selection of optimal technology investments.

  • Support business case and use cases definitions and development.

  • Develop, communicate and implement DnA product roadmaps that include interdependencies and risk management solutions.

  • Develop an understanding of Enterprise Corporate Functions business needs and ensure BT DnA products roadmap aligns to support near term/long term data & analytics capabilities globally.

  • Continue to drive towards value realization from existing data and analytics products, through planning, execution and KPIs review

  • Manage resources to deliver on prioritized D&A demands. Identify ways to optimize available resources and deliver portfolio with maximum business and technology efficiency. Play a leadership role for the product team with timely decision making.

  • Clearly report out project status of DnA tasks, with milestones, risks/issues and mitigation plans.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor´s degree in Computer Engineering/Systems or equivalent experience.

  • Seven plus years of hands-on experience in leading and delivering Enterprise Data & Analytics projects.

Strong understanding of enterprise technologies, as well as next gen technologies.

  • Prior working experience demonstrating strong business analysis acumen.

  • Prior working experience demonstrating leadership experience, leading teams through influence.

  • Experience with databases and SQL.

  • Experience with cloud computing technologies such as AWS and Snowflake.

  • Experience with visualization and BI tools, preferably with PowerBI.

  • Understanding of data supporting corporate functions systems like HR, Learning, Compliance and ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance), etc.

  • Prior working experience leading programs in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Waterfall and Agile project methodologies.

  • Certification in SAFe POPM preferrable. Experience in Jira preferrable.

  • Bring new solutions though experimental/Proof of Concept (POC) stages and subsequent Minimum Viable Product (MVP), scale up and industrialization.

  • Self-motivation, proactivity, and ability to work independently with minimum direction.

  • Excellent business acumen, with proven ability to understand business processes and commercial strategies in detail and translate these into detailed business requirements/questions that power analytics.

  • Strong analytical thinker and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong written, listening, communication, and influencing skills.

  • Strong collaboration and teamwork experience.

  • Excellent organizational skills, with ability to navigate a complex matrix environment and organize/prioritize work efficiently and effectively.

Experience in Pharma/Health Industry preferred.
