Materials Procurments Coorindator Description: This role requires a person to support the strategic sourcing of Business Services (professional and HR services, temporary labor, consultancy). Support to the Sourcing Managers in the Indirect area will be part of the job scope. This will mean the assistance in data gathering, engagement and execution in Global, Americas, and Local projects (US, Canada). The individual should be able to demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to support the change. This role could change the remit of his/her responsibility into different countries and/or Indirect categories. The specific challenges to this role will involve: 1. Ensure consistent implementation of procurement strategies and policies. The key stakeholders include the SBU local organizations, Operations Manager, Category Mangers, Sourcing Leads and Senior Sourcing Specialists. 2. Ensure that agreed upon conditions negotiated between Procurement Sourcing Team and suppliers are implemented fully and accurately (Contracts, Contract Pricing, Payment Terms, Supply Chain Finance, Rebates etc.) 3. Support ad-hoc data gathering for project scoping (suppliers, spend, internal data) 4. Successfully co-ordinate, facilitate and negotiate purchases (RFI, RFP, RFQ) delegated by the Category Management Group through the application of effective strategic sourcing practices, thereby achieving a competitive edge. This might include smaller volume purchases, as well as suppliers or distributors with an annualized spend equal to or less than $350K. 5. Lead and drive on-boarding of new suppliers, lead and drive alternative supplier/product approvals. 6. Lead in the development of effective supply processes with the objective of achieving synergy in savings, coordinating order consolidation through preferred supplier listings. 7. Support contract management process (NDA preparation and submission, contract set up, update and maintenance). 8. Ensure effective communication with the Procurement Sourcing Team, queries on operations & data details refers. 9. Support supplier performance evaluation (SLA, quality, product and service delivery against contract) and supplier cadence meeting with the proper data preparation. 10. Additional tasks linked to the position may arise due to unavoidable circumstances. This position requires the following: Knowledge: o Education - BA degree in a related discipline o 3+ years in a procurement role or similar - purchasing experience within either indirect purchasing directly or through close previous liaison with purchasing. o Previous related business experience within either human resources, consultancy or business services. o Understanding of the area / business environment of dedicated spend. e.g. HR or Business Services. o Previous assignment requiring challenge of technical specifications and the need for spend. o Experience of establishing/monitoring performance agreements, contracts and resolving issues. Skills: o Organizationally savvy and able to influence and balance priorities. o Structured and able to manage change projects through cross-functional teams. o Business acumen and ability to manage commercial relationships and negotiations. Soft skills: o Strong interpersonal skills. Proactively seeks relationships. o Hands-on and results-orientated. Embraces all aspects of getting the job done. o Able to act autonomously and with resilience in a dynamic environment. Schedule: Hybrid 3 days per week in the downtown Pittsburgh office.
