The Position

The U.S. Maternal Health Business Unit at Organon is responsible for sales and marketing of our postpartum uterine bleeding device which is intended to provide control and treatment of abnormal postpartum uterine bleeding or hemorrhage when conservative management is warranted. Future medical device additions to the portfolio will also be commercialized through this team.

This position reports to the U.S. Maternal Health Business Unit Lead and will collaborate closely with the Business Unit Commercial Leadership Team, including the U.S. Sales Lead, the U.S. Marketing Lead, and Commercial Enablement Director. This role is responsible for market development strategy and tactics for current and future product offerings. Particularly, this role is responsible for developing provider, payor, and society relationships, partnering with sales leaders / functional partners to build strategic account selling processes and capabilities, and has direct supervision of a Clinical Access team. This position requires an entrepreneurial, growth-oriented, and customer-focused mindset to assess market needs, then develop and scale medical device business strategy and capabilities in a compliant way.

Responsibilities

Lead Clinical Access Team

  • Provide management, training, & functional development support to team of Clinical Access Managers.

  • Drive sales results among rural and critical access hospitals in-line with business unit revenue & expense forecasts.

  • Partner with field sales team to expand device clinical application & patient access among strategic accounts and hospital systems.

  • Provide oversight to vendors responsible for billing and coding.

  • Support the development and management of HEOR messaging and assets.

  • Develop & lead evolution of Business Unit commercial effectiveness programming to support direct sales of women’s health medical devices and technologies to hospitals across the United States.

  • Refine commercial training in partnership with Learning & Development to build and drive sales effectiveness training.

  • Integrate new market access competencies into existing commercial model, with a particular focus on strategic account management.

  • Partner with regional managers to align Clinical Access team to support strategic growth targets and manage role effectiveness in the sales process.

  • Scale hospital-level success into IDN success through process and salesforce capability

  • Develop provider, payor, and society relationships and strategic partnerships

Required Education, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

  • A minimum of 10 years' work experience in the medical device industry, specifically including time spent commercializing differentiated interventional technologies to hospitals or physician offices.

  • Experience in management of a sales team.

  • Experience leading transformational initiatives at scale.

  • Experience developing and building strategic account management process and capabilities.

  • Experience developing and scaling sales process.

  • Experience in building strong team culture and collaboration across an enterprise.

  • Demonstrated ability to attract, lead, inspire, and retain a strong results-oriented team.

  • Demonstrated agility and ability to anticipate and respond to evolving US trends.

  • Demonstrated history of strong performance

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills

  • MBA degree preferred.

  • Previous experience partnering with Learning & Development partners to drive sales effectiveness

  • Women's health experience

  • Experience leading a clinical or health outcomes-based team

This role can be remote but will require time with colleagues in the Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania office.

Travel: 25-50% US travel.

Annualized Salary Range (US)

$166,100.00 - $282,600.00
