Adient US LLC IT Governance Manager in Plymouth, Michigan
SUMMARY
The Manager, IT Governance will focus on standards adherence, application rationalization, application governance and IT risk avoidance. The successful candidate will provide stewardship and guidance to the relevant IT areas to promote technology standards and IT architecture compliance.
This position requires an experienced leader who can partner effectively with all levels of the IT organization, influence others, drive results and proactively identify/resolve problems. This position requires someone who is willing to be a hands-on facilitator to ensure process adherence, standards adherence and enable IT strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and facilitate the IT governance process to evaluate architectural fit of new technologies
- Manage & administer the application portfolio ensuring technology reuse opportunities, supporting portfolio modernization and facilitation of application road mapping
- Facilitate the IT Governance Community of Practice, communicating best practices and other IT governance related topics to the IT community
- Partner with stakeholders for forecasting pipeline of ideas requiring an IT governance review
- Track IT governance process SLAs and report out metrics through Power BI reports
- May organize, deliver, or promote specific training regionally or by business function
Works with process owners to develop and maintain best practices/methodologies
EDUCATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Analytics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline. Master's degree in related discipline a plus
- 5-8 years hands on experience in the IT field
- 5+ years managing projects or leading cross-functional teams
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a solution architect or enterprise architect a plus
- Prior experience in IT governance, risk or compliance/audit functions a plus
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and methodologies
- Demonstrated functional understanding of key business processes such as Purchasing, SCM, Finance, Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering a plus
- Strong understanding of business process modeling and IT governance principles
- Intermediate to expert experience in managing, analyzing, developing, and/or implementing IT solutions
Intermediate to expert experience in project management execution methodologies

Proven project management experience; project leadership, planning, execution, control, and business results
