Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are looking to add 3 Maintenance Technicians to our team. You will work at a company that manufactures the industry's broadest range of steel pipe and tubing, delivering solutions for commercial, industrial, manufacturing, and government customers across the United States. Our maintenance technicians will handle mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic, and electrical repairs. We have a well-structured preventive maintenance (PM) plan and seek individuals with experience in strict PM environments. The 2nd shift focuses more on PM tasks compared to the 3rd shift. Mechanical tasks include fixing conveyors, and building gearboxes, and spindles. Electrical duties involve troubleshooting PLCs and understanding and relaying ladder logic. Hydraulics and pneumatics tasks involve working on pumps, cylinders, and various valves.
Responsibilities
Perform mechanical repairs including fixing conveyors and building gearboxes and spindles.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including PLCs, 480v, and 3-phase motors.
Handle hydraulic and pneumatic repairs on pumps, cylinders, and various valves.
Understand and relay ladder logic for electrical troubleshooting.
Read and interpret blueprints for maintenance tasks.
Conduct welding and fabrication tasks using Mig/Stick techniques for general repairs.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks as per the PM plan.
Essential Skills
Mechanical experience in building and repairing gearboxes and spindles.
Electrical experience in troubleshooting PLCs, 480v, and 3-phase motors.
Hydraulics and pneumatics experience with pumps, cylinders, and various valves.
Welding and fabrication skills using Mig/Stick for general repairs.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with industrial power tools and preventive maintenance.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work safely and efficiently in a steel plant environment.

We offer good benefits in a safety-first plant and run an incentive plan on a weekly basis, paid out based on the number of tons of steel produced per shift. Over the last year, this has averaged an additional $3-$4.20 per hour, sometimes reaching as high as $6-$7 per hour.
Work Environment
Our work environment is a steel plant, which is hot in the summer and cold in the winter. We operate on a 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:30 pm-1:00 am) and a 3rd shift (Sun-Thur, Sunday 7:30 pm-6:00 am, Mon-Thurs 10:00 pm-6:30 am). Employees consistently work 55-60 hours and 6 days a week in a safe environment.
