Xylem Cost Accountant in Plymouth, Minnesota

The Role:

As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for the costing and general accounting activities to ensure accurate reporting and analysis for our manufacturing plant and distribution center. You will have the opportunity to directly impact the success of our company and interact with all levels of the operation teams. This role will support our location in Plymouth, MN.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support Physical Inventory counts with research and reporting including Inventory Adjustments approval and posting.

  • Monthly review of Cost Center variations

  • Review and research Production Variances

  • Monitor activities for proper setup of parts, cost rolls, and variances

  • Monitor Capital Asset Requests and process as needed.

  • Post monthly Journal Entries as needed

  • Support the monthly business closing process (P&L, Balance Sheet) including evaluation of expense and balance sheet accounts and preparation of monthly reports

  • Locally promoting awareness of financial performance and opportunities. Assisting with forecasting and budgeting.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or Finance

  • 8+ years of experience within a manufacturing environment desired

  • Prior manufacturing cost accounting experience preferred

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • ERP system experience – SAP experience is desired

Salary range:

$70,500.00 - $126,500.00
