Daikin Applied Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator in Plymouth, Minnesota

Make your mark at the world's largest HVAC company Daikin Applied is seeking a Full Time Environmental Health & Saftey (EHS) Coordinator is a member of the EHS team and reports to the EHS Leader or Site Leader. This role is responsible for development and implementation of the company's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures. The role will work closely with the EHS team to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, Daikin requirements, and to promote a culture of safety throughout the site. Location: Remote What you will do: Work in compliance with all applicable local, state, federal laws. Perform compliance reviews, general risk assessments, JSA and other safety assessments to support EHS program. Develop controls for identified hazards, coordinate the implementation of controls from the result of hazard assessment. Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of corrective and preventive measures, policies, and procedures and recommend changes that reflect improved opportunities to eliminate workplace accidents and injuries. Maintain relevant EHS logs and documentation assuring compliance of applicable laws and regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.) Conduct regular safety and environmental inspections and audits of facilities and equipment to identify and address hazards and risks Communicate EHS programs, policies, and procedures as needed, providing advice and assistance to managers, supervisors, and employees to ensure that all EHS programs are implemented and effective Conducts new employee orientation training Ensure that contractors/vendors working on site are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations Prepare EHS reports and presentations Support supervisors and managers in incident investigations and root cause analysis Track, trend and report identified KPIs to site/corporate leadership. Analyze EHS data, trends, and metrics to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions Maintain EMS (ISO 14001) and SMS (ISO 45001) document control and systems. Drive Daikin's goal of zero (accidents, emissions, etc...)
