Job Title: Software Test Automation EngineerJob Description

We are currently looking for a Software Test Automation Engineer to lead the automation efforts for our software test platform using Ranorex. This role involves writing test cases and providing the code to support test automation in Ranorex. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in developing test automation code in Ranorex or a similar tool like Selenium. This is a hybrid position, requiring 3-4 days per week in the office. The role focuses on writing test automation code and collaborating with Test Architects to support the automated test framework. The team is responsible for automating manual tests for medical device software and ensuring the new platform is scalable for derivative versions of current systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain test automation code using Ranorex or a similar tool like Selenium.

  • Collaborate with Test Architects to support the automated test framework.

  • Automate manual tests for firmware/software-heavy products, particularly in the medical device sector.

  • Determine the best automation tools for future use.

  • Ensure the new test automation platform is scalable for derivative versions of current systems.

  • Work with Azure DevOps Test framework or other test suite management frameworks.

Essential Skills

  • Proficient in developing test automation code in Ranorex or Selenium.

  • Experience with automated software testing, particularly for safety-critical systems.

  • Familiarity with test development, test procedures, and test protocols.

  • Experience with Azure DevOps Test framework or similar test suite management frameworks.

  • 5+ years of automated software test development.

  • 5+ years of experience in the medical device industry or other safety-critical environments.

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft/Azure infrastructure.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, and Python.

  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.

Work Environment

This role involves significant remote communication with the Director of Software in Pennsylvania, Software Development teams overseas, and the UI Design team in Wisconsin. The position requires 3-4 days per week in the office. The work environment includes using Microsoft/Azure infrastructure and programming in C++, C#, and Python.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00
