The Borough is seeking applicants with a Class C- Operators License or better in both wastewater operation and water operation. The certifications under Class C include a Wastewater Systems Operator License with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and appropriate subclasses as required. The certifications under Class C include a Water Systems Operator License with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection including required subclass certifications. The operator oversees the function of the Wastewater treatment and Water distribution system, and all reporting. Additionally, the operator will be expected to conduct maintenance tasks, help with operating the plant in the absence of the plant assistants, maintain any assets belonging to the water and sewer borough authority, supervise large projects pertaining to the infrastructure, and other duties as assigned.

Successful applicants will have a go-getting attitude, attention to detail, and ability to communicate well with borough residents and other employees. Applicants should be able to have full range of motion, be able to lift 50 lbs., and be able to navigate stairs and unstable ground under reasonable conditions.
