Accounts Receivable Specialist | Point of Rocks, MD

· Aston Carter is hiring for a great contract opportunity with a company in Point of Rocks, MD! This role is a 6-month contract.

Details:

· Location: Point of Rocks, MD

· Hybrid Schedule ( 2 days per week in the office )

· Monday-Friday

· 8am-5pm, 1 hour lunch

· 6-month contract

Necessary Skills

· 1+ year of Accounts Receivable experience.

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, sorting).

· Very strong attention to detail.

· Understanding of AR, GAAP and Accounting .

A day in the role…

· Processes invoices daily.

· Reviews project budgets, customer information, sales tax, and product codes for accuracy.

· Works closely with project managers to identify and verify information on a project when there is over or under runs in weight and or hours.

· Monitors status of project change orders for over/under runs.

· Ensures jobs are billed within the appropriate time to accommodate credit department and contract requirements.

· Prepare and generate various scheduled and special reports and participate in special projects relating to the activities of the unit.

· Assist in the performance of internal audits by compiling information and reports for examiners.

· Review information collected in reply to auditor’s request for data.

· Assists accounting department with, but not limited to, journal entries, posting of accruals, posting job cost expenditures, and reconciling general ledger accounts.

· Support and/or participate in the organization’s Continuous Improvement Program.

· Perform other job duties as assigned by supervisor.
