Eurofins Eaton Analytical is searching for a Scientist II (GCMS VOA) to work in Pomona, CA. This is a regular full time position, 40 hrs/week.

Scientist II (GCMS VOA Department) responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the

following:

  • Performs routine and non-routine analysis of water samples by various written EPA 524.2 and Standard Methods procedures, MDLs, DOCs, PIRs, PTs, etc.

  • Preparation of reagents and standards.

  • Performing routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Performs high level review and validation of data.

  • Write or revises analytical procedures and/or SOPs, method development.

  • Performs PT Evaluations and inter-laboratories evaluation.

  • Other general laboratory related duties as assigned

  • Will include regular late shift and/or weekend duties.

The ideal candidate would possess:

  • GCMS experience preferred.

  • Excellent math and computer skills

  • Excellent written and communication skills

  • Excellent attention to details and good organization skills

  • Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment

Qualifications

  • Minimum BS degree in chemistry or other related science field required. 

  • 2 or more years of GCMS chromatography experience required. 

  • Must be available to work overtime including weekends

  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

  • Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English

This is a full-time position. Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m., with the possibility of overtime and weekends as needed. Candidates living within a coimmutable diastance to Pomona, CA are envouraged to apply. 

Compensation range: $23.66 - $37 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
