As Area Safety Manager, you will assume local responsibility for implementing, monitoring, and championing the company's Hearts & Minds Safety Program, both internally and externally, in order to create a workplace that is free of serious safety and health hazards for employees and clients alike. This Position... Some examples of the work you might do includes: Conducts thorough investigations of safety incidents, determines probable cause, makes recommendations for corrective action, and facilitates proper resolution. Acts as a trusted advisor and participates in local branch safety meetings. Manages the employee drug testing program and maintains related records. Attends training and conducts self-study to stay current on all federal, state, and local regulations that impact the business, and ensures the Company remains in compliance with all employer requirements. Solicits feedback on personal protective equipment (PPE) and related safety inventory for the branch. Updates safety software with investigations, completed training sessions, and corrective actions. Communicates continuing education needs, and assists with coordinating and/or conducting training. Reinforces safety program standards through regular, in-person job site visits, and the completion of at least two (2) detailed jobsite safety audits a week. Maintains local relations through regular customer, industry, and regulatory group outreach. All other duties as assigned. What You Need... 5+ years of applicable industry experience required. Intermediate level knowledge of federal, state, and local building codes and construction laws. Ability to interact effectively with diverse employee and client populations. Strong written, verbal, analytical, and problem solving skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize,and stay flexible while meeting deadlines and goals. Ability to travel locally up to 60% of the time. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in occupational health or related field. Documented completion of the OSHA 500 Course. Previous training experience in an office and/or field environment. Qualified for Fall Protection, Confined Space, and Trench & Excavation. Conduct Standards:
