Williams International Machine Maintenance Technician in Pontiac, Michigan

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Machine Maintenance Technician to join our team on 1st shift. Working within a team environment, the Machine Maintenance Technician will have responsibility for the execution and documentation of preventative maintenance and unscheduled repair events (In house and/or working with various OEM's) for numerous types of machines and various facility equipment in our AMF 2 production facility. This production facility has equipment which supports Laser Metal Additive manufacturing, Electrical Component manufacturing, M&P laboratory test equipment and Fuel Control test benches. Machine Maintenance Technicians support call-in requests and weekend/alternative shift assignments.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with experience doing complete systems maintenance, modification, installations and repairs.
  • 5+ years of experience required
  • Familiarity with equipment such as laser cutting, heat treat furnaces, ovens, laser metal additive equipment, grinders, lathes and assortment of electrical manufacturing equipment. Selected individual will train with OEMs to learn specifics of each machine.
  • Familiarity with Pneumatics, Hydraulics and Control systems.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting P&ID schematics.
  • Must be able to work 1^st^ shift and support call-in requests and weekend/alternative shift assignments.
  • Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches)
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.  Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
