*This is the first step of OMC's Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program. The Medical Assistant Trainee is a temporary 90-day position with the expectation to transfer to the Medical Assistant Apprenticeship position. *

*Hourly Wage $20.89 per hour * JOB SUMMARY: **Under the direction and supervision of the OMP Education and Safety Manager and clinical coaches, the Medical Assistant Trainee observes clinical duties in the OMP outpatient clinics. The MA Trainee may perform non-clinical support duties while in the clinic setting such as turning over exam rooms, stocking supplies, checking outdates, and other duties assigned by clinical oversight. It is the expectation that upon completion of orientation period, MA Apprentice Trainee will transfer to a permanent MAAP position, sign agreement with OMC for apprenticeship enrollment, meet the requirements for the WACMHC apprenticeship program and enroll.

* QUALIFICATIONS:  *Education · High School Diploma or GED required. Experience · Healthcare related job experience is preferred. Licensure/Credentials · None required until transfer to permanent MAAP position. Union** None.
