Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Summary: As a Design Engineer specializing in structural design, you will play a crucial role in our product development process. You will be responsible for creating robust and efficient designs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the seamless transition from design to manufacturing. The ideal candidate will bring a strong experience in structural engineering related to industrial equipment, a passion for innovation, and a proven track record of successful product development.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize structural designs for manufacturing processes, ensuring they meet industry standards, regulations, and customer specifications.

  • Utilize SolidWorks to create 3D models, detailed drawings, and simulations for structural components. Demonstrate expertise in the software to drive efficient and effective design iterations.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, manufacturing experts, and quality assurance, to integrate structural designs seamlessly into the overall product development process.

  • Identify and specify appropriate materials for structural components, considering factors such as strength, durability, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with the prototyping team to create and test prototypes, making necessary adjustments to designs based on testing results.

  • Generate comprehensive design documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and specifications, to facilitate the manufacturing process.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices. Implement improvements to existing designs and processes to enhance product performance and manufacturability.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
