Fabricator / General Labor

Job Description

Under general supervision, the Fabricator I is responsible for producing high-quality fabricated parts utilizing various fabrication equipment. This is a 3rd shift position with a competitive hourly rate. We seek dedicated individuals who can meet work schedules and overtime requirements, including weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality fabricated parts utilizing various fabrication equipment.

  • Read and understand procedures, safety sheets, instructions, and policies in English.

  • Carry out verbal instructions and communicate effectively in English.

  • Adhere to safety-related issues including good housekeeping and ergonomics practices.

  • Participate in workplace organization and follow training procedures, including cross-training and teamwork.

  • Demonstrate attention to detail and maintain safety and quality standards.

  • Speak up and report any safety or quality issues that arise.

  • Learn and adapt to new processes, systems, and equipment.

  • Document tasks accurately and perform basic preventative maintenance.

  • Work effectively in a team setting, participate in cross-functional teams, and resolve conflicts.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to meet work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends.

  • Ability to read and understand procedures, safety sheets, instructions, and policies in English.

  • Ability to carry out verbal instructions and communicate effectively in English.

  • Adherence to safety and quality standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to operate basic fabrication equipment required.

  • Quality training, including incoming part quality, gage plan completion, and proper part loading.

  • Physical ability to lift/carry 10-50 lbs. frequently and occasionally 50-75 lbs.

  • Ability to perform prolonged stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, sitting, standing, or crawling as needed.

  • Hand grasp ability and coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot.

  • Cognitive abilities including visual and auditory discrimination/memory, reading ability, independent decision-making, and retention of specific knowledge.

Work Environment

The work environment includes exposure to loud noises and requires the operation of machinery. Safety equipment such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, and hearing protection must be used in designated areas. Proper respirators and other equipment are necessary in the paint booth area. The role demands physical activities including lifting, carrying, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, sitting, standing, and crawling. Coordination of hands and visual and auditory discrimination are essential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50
