What you will do:

The Advanced Operations Engineering team is responsible for process design, development, and validation, while working with a diverse, cross-functional team on new product development. They will independently determine and develop approaches to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity while using the latest engineering techniques to reduce product time to market whilst adhering to regulatory requirements, project deadlines and product costs. They will build productive internal and external working relationships and may periodically provide guidance and train other team members.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Design and develop requirements, prototypes, and solutions to deliver electrical designs for robotic and surgical applications

  • Generate detailed electrical and electronic solutions and release applicable documentation

  • Work closely with manufacturing, quality assurance, other engineering teams, and program management to deliver products

  • Execute project plans

  • Review peer designed drawings

  • Contribute to the building and testing of electrical prototypes

  • Practice advanced understanding of manufacturing principles and quality assurance documentation in the medical industry

What you need-

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline required

  • 7+ years of experience in a professional engineering setting required

  • Basic knowledge of electrical engineering principles required

  • Experience working with the design of electronics (printed circuit boards, cables) with emphasis on manufacturability required

  • Experience reading electrical schematics, CAD drawings and product architecture drawings required

  • Experience with ICT, FCT, safety and functional testing – highly preferred

  • Experience with complex PCBA DFM & manufacturing – highly preferred

  • Experience with electromechanical assembly - highly preferred

  • Knowledge of analytical tools and statistical methods -preferred

  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry- preferred

  • Experience managing/working with a 3rd party equipment suppliers -preferred
