Growth Orthopedics is hiring a full-time Director of Finance in Portland, Maine. Growth Orthopedics is a managed service organization, supported by Trivest Partners, a private equity firm that partners with independent orthopedics offices while ensuring their individual autonomy. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Finance to join our leadership team in Portland, Maine. The Director of Finance will oversee all financial aspects of our organization, ensuring financial health, stability, and strategic growth. This role will work closely with the executive team on day-to-day operations as well as strategic planning. Key Responsibilities: Financial Management: Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and operational metrics. Provide timely and accurate financial reports to senior management and the Board of Directors. Revenue Cycle Management: Oversee billing, collections, and revenue cycle operations to optimize cash flow and minimize accounts receivable. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and insurance guidelines. Financial Strategy: Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Provide financial insights and guidance to support decision-making across departments. Develop, implement and ensure effective and practical implementation of formal policies and procedures Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with healthcare financial regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance requirements. Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and maintain financial integrity. Financial Systems and Processes: Evaluate and improve financial systems, processes, and policies to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Leverage technology to streamline financial operations and reporting. Will lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive financial and operational reporting including, but not limited to performance summaries, revenue and expense forecasts, and P&L statements Leadership and Team Development: Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth. Encourage continuous learning and development within the finance department. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop long-term financial plans and initiatives. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Top of Form Strong data management Performs monthly and quarterly variance analysis and forecasts to ensure financial obligations are met; provides explanations for material variances; escalates issues to unified administrator; partners with stakeholders to develop and execute a correction plan Will lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive financial and operational reporting including, but not limited to performance summaries, revenue and expense forecasts, and P&L statements Bottom of Form Prepare yearly budgets and analysis. Work with physicians and the Orthopedic executive team, review contracts and analyze historical data to determine and input next year’s budget for non-patient service revenue (i.e., MMC PHO, call pay, medical director fees, miscellaneous receipts, IME, rental income, etc.). Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. CPA certification highly desirable. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in healthcare or medical practice management. Proven leadership experience with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data to drive business decisions. Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement systems, revenue cycle management, and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information effectively to stakeholders at all levels. Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate financial implications of business decisions.
