Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Description

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will ensure the quality of products and services provided by suppliers aligns with agreed requirements. Your role includes resolving issues between the organization and suppliers, serving as the main point of contact, and directly working with suppliers to ensure customer requirements are met. Responsibilities also include conducting supplier audits, evaluating potential new suppliers, and leading the resolution of any quality issues in collaboration with manufacturing and suppliers. You will be part of a team managing relationships with 100 suppliers, shared among other Quality Engineers.

Hard Skills

  • Supplier Quality Engineering experience

  • MS Office/Word proficiency

  • PPAP/APQP experience

  • 8D and 5Y experience

  • Supplier audit experience

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Problem-solving skills

  • Organizational skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Portland, Michigan.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a team of 280 employees and 20 engineers. Work hours are typically from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with flexibility in start times (6 AM or 7 AM, etc.). Overtime is not typically required.
