Robert Half Accounting Manager in Portland, Oregon
Description We are in search of an Accounting Manager to join our team located in Portland, Oregon. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity in the industry. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the accounting functions, including but not limited to, handling non-profit accounting, bookkeeping, preparing and reviewing budgets, and delivering financial reports.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage non-profit accounting functions, including dealing with government contracts when necessary
• Handle all aspects of bookkeeping and accounting, including journal entries, expense reports, and bill payments
• Prepare and provide expense reports to government funders
• Coordinate and manage the preparation and review of budgets for the fiscal year
• Deliver financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Utilize various accounting software systems and ERP solutions for efficient and accurate financial management
• Manage and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Conduct auditing tasks as needed and ensure all financial operations adhere to regulations and standards
• Oversee billing functions, ensuring all invoices are issued and paid in a timely manner
• Handle fund accounting for non-profit entities, ensuring all funds are properly managed and accounted for. Requirements • Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role is required.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential.
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions is necessary.
• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) will be advantageous.
• Must have a comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions.
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.
• Prior experience in Auditing is necessary.
• Must be proficient in managing Billing Functions.
• Experience in Fund Accounting in a Non-Profit context is desirable.
