HIGHLIGHTS:

Hourly Rate: $36/hr - $40/hr based on experience

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

The General Machining department requires an individual to work in a team environment and develop CNC programs and processes for equipment and Tooling components utilizing CNC controlled equipment & related software.

THE DETAILS

CNC Operations & Setup:

  • Run production on CNC Vertical Machining centers and CNC Lathes

  • Set up machines, including downloading programs and determining materials

  • Override feed rates and tool positions using G and M codes

  • Perform start-up and shut-down procedures

    Material Handling & Tooling:

  • Load and unload material and tooling

  • Change tooling, remove and replace cutting tools, and inserts

    Maintenance & Safety:

  • Perform routine maintenance, including checking oil/coolant levels and cleaning

  • Follow safety procedures and keep work area clean and clutter-free

    Troubleshooting & Quality Control:

  • Troubleshoot programs and resolve complex problems independently

  • Ensure product meets print specifications by adjusting programs as necessary

    SAP & Communication:

  • Report data and labor entry on SAP

  • Maintain open communication through conversations and documents, ensuring regular information exchange

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

    CNC Expertise & Technical Skills:

  • 5 years of experience with CNC Mill and Lathe machines, with knowledge in setup and manual CNC programming using G&M code and Mastercam.

    Blueprint Reading & Precision:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints with GD&T, and skilled in machine shop math and working with close tolerances.

    Problem-Solving & Innovation:

  • Strong analytical skills, capable of solving atypical problems, and a creative thinker who seeks opportunities for improvement.

    Teamwork & Leadership:

  • Acts as an informal resource for colleagues, provides guidance to junior team members, and collaborates effectively with globally dispersed teams.

    Professionalism & Initiative:

  • Demonstrates personal integrity, takes initiative to improve performance, and is proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

    AVAILABILITY

    Primary shift:

  • Swing Shift: Monday – Friday; 4pm – midnight

  • Flexibility to work 4days/10-hour shifts. Start times and days worked must be agreed upon with the department manager based on department needs

    Must be available to assist the team with coverage on all of the following shifts should special circumstances arise:

  • Day shift: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

  • Swing shift: 4:00 p.m. to midnight

  • Graveyard shift: Midnight to 7:30 a.m.
