WorkSource Oregon Design Engineer in PORTLAND, Oregon

Beall Manufacturing, Inc., located in Portland, OR, a manufacturer of specialty spec trailers for the construction, earthmoving, and bulk transportation industries, requires the services of a Product Design Engineer to work at the location above. Beall Manufacturing Inc. is a subsidiary of MAC Trailers Inc.. MAC Trailer is the nation\'s foremost manufacturer of dump, flatbed, and transfer trailers, straight truck bodies, dry bulk pneumatic tanks, and liquid tank trailers. Hours Mon-Fri: 8:00 AM \' 5:00 PM Salary: \$79,019-\$88,300/year The candidate will report to the Engineering Manager. Job Duties: \' Design, model and create assemblies using CAD software. \' Issue and prepare detailed drawings, specifications for shop production. \' Responsible for trailer design development and continuous improvement of existing and future products. \' Define part numbers and assembly structures for input into Bills of Materials. \' Determine long lead time items for an advanced bill of materials for purchasing. \' Create and maintain all engineering procedures and documents. \' Engineering support for all internal departments, outside sales and customers. \' Perform and have the ability to carry out basic engineering calculations. \' Determine requirements based on sales specs for overall engineering product design. \' Evaluating material cost and strategizing the most cost-effective means for production \' Determine legal requirements based on DOT regulations for final design. \' Confers with research and development and prepares design modifications as required \' Evaluating material weights to manufacture a durable but light product.
