Executive Assistant to Vice President of Human Resources, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

We are seeking an exceptional Executive Assistant to support our VP of Human Resources, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. In this critical role, you will have the autonomy to identify and address needs proactively, ensuring smooth operations and enabling our VP to focus on strategic priorities.

As the sole administrative support within our HR team, your willingness to step in and assist with various tasks as needed will be invaluable. Your flexibility and adaptability will be essential, as the VP’s calendar frequently changes due to the fast-paced nature of HR. If you excel at managing last-minute requests and rescheduling with ease, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the strategic support group to facilitate business operations and long-term strategic planning.

  • Schedule, plan, and execute events, including leader retreats, to foster team cohesion and alignment with company goals.

  • Maintain confidentiality while partnering effectively with peers across all levels of the

  • Communicate effectively with employees at all levels and travel as needed to support the VP.

  • Support human resources to meet customer needs on a non-traditional schedule, balancing the priorities of multiple stakeholders.

  • Adapt to emerging situations and thrive in high-pressure, dynamic environments.

  • Demonstrate articulate written and spoken communication skills and effective time management in a complex, evolving landscape.

  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills.

Qualifications:

  • Adaptable and eager to learn, comfortable with ambiguity and can anticipate opportunities for efficiencies.

  • Strong sense of accountability, ownership, and resilience.

  • Dependable, and committed to supporting the organization when it mobilizes to respond to external events such as outages, and responses to storms and wildfires.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Experience working in high-pressure, dynamic environments preferred.

  • Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and entering and processing data.

  • Associate degree in secretarial science, business administration or other related field preferred or equivalent experience. Experience Preferred: eight or more years in progressive administrative support and secretarial positions or a related field.

Location/Schedule/Attendance:

Location: Hybrid. Typically, three days a week on-site (World Trade Center, Portland, OR) with some flexibility for working from home which may depend on business need. PGE supports hybrid flexible work arrangements; and will have a combination of in-the-office and working offsite. However, these arrangements may change due to business needs or changes in responsibility.

  • Ability to report to work and perform work during periods of severe inclement weather

  • Ability to consistently meet attendance standards for regular, reliable, predictable, full-time attendance

Compensation Range:

$60,975.00 - $101,625.00

Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
