Our client is a global healthcare company providing diagnostic and drug development capabilities to make a difference through clinical, non-clinical, and commercial settings! We are seeking a Lab Assistant to join their growing team!

Location: Portland, OR

Contract: 6 months

Schedule: 7a.m – 3: 30p.m OR 10:30 a.m-7 p.m.

Pay : $17.62/ hr.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and oversee drug screen collections with precision

• Utilize computer systems and paper chain and custody forms to ensure accurate completion

• Receive, sort, and prepare clinical lab specimens for testing and analysis

• Perform scanning and/or data entry of specimen and patient information

• Ensure all lab equipment is functioning correctly and perform minor maintenance as needed

• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues to maintain workflow

• Replenish test bench supplies to ensure operational efficiency

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with safety protocols

• Complete record logs and perform other administrative duties as requested

• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures to uphold safety and quality standards

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Previous experience in a medical, lab, or production environment is preferred

• Comfort with handling biological specimens

• High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment and meet established turn-around times

• Must pass a standardized color blindness test

• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
