We have multiple openings for Phlebotomists in various Legacy outpatient locations. The Phlebotomist will greet patients, perform blood draws, label and centrifuge specimens, record maintenance data, and update patient information. Responsibilities include collecting and storing specimens according to established procedures, explaining the process of venipuncture and other specimen collections clearly and courteously, and demonstrating techniques using straight and butterfly needles. The Phlebotomist will match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required, and ensure all test requisitions or computer labels are correct. Additional duties include packaging specimens for transport, storing specimens at the required temperature, and complying with OSHA and DEP regulations. The role also involves handling insurance, billing, and processing samples while providing excellent customer service to patients.

Work Environment
The Phlebotomist will work in various Legacy outpatient locations with a schedule of Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, potentially including rotating Saturdays. The contract duration is 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs. The pay range is $18-23 per hour. Flexibility to float to different LabCorp locations may be required in rare instances.
