Providence Product Benefits Manager *Remote* in Portland, Oregon

Providence Health Plan is calling a Product Benefits Manager who will:

  • Be accountable for Providence Health Plan's detailed benefits management in support of commercial lines of business

  • Be responsible to support:

  • Detailed benefits and customization requirements and deliverables for the full life cycle of the product portfolio including but not limited to:

  • Benefit scenario analysis

  • Operational impact analysis

  • Business decision documentation development

  • Develop and maintain product data source of truth

  • Clearly defining product requirements

  • Prepare benefit plan documentation to support regulatory filing

  • Create and distribute the benefit summaries and related documentation

  • Audit benefit information internally and externally to ensure benefits are accurately represented across all channels

  • Be responsible for a highly detailed understanding and expertise of commercial lines of business

  • Provide support and thought-partnership to all stakeholders and team members supporting the successful annual life-cycle and delivery of the portfolios as well as group specific requests

  • Maintain effective and efficient working relationships with relevant teams and functions, including the Product and Marketing, Sales, Operations, Business Delivery, Finance, and Compliance

Essential Functions:

  • Clear understanding of new regulations and how regulations affect benefits

  • Support product team in competitive research and analysis projects

  • Provide detail-level benefit support for claims analysis and pricing cycle

  • Provide detailed benefit assessment of group specific requests and customizations

  • Manage the customization guidelines

  • Support benefits management in relation to regulatory mandates, competitive environments, risk management, price impact and medical policy

  • Support training process and materials creation

  • Develop business decision documentation and tracking process related to benefits administration

  • Maintain functional working relationships with vendors to complete deliverables

  • Provide detailed benefit support for material development, review and publication

  • This position is affiliated with Providence Health Plan and will be tied to a location and compensation range in Portland, Oregon

Providence welcomes 100% remote work for residents who reside in the following States:

  • Washington

  • Oregon

  • California

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration -OR- a combination of equivalent education and experience

  • Proven experience working with teams and staff of various capacities, approach and work-styles

  • Proven effective meeting facilitation experience

  • Experience working in an environment with shifting priorities requiring flexibility and the ability to prioritize work

  • Experience supporting scenario and impact analysis in support of annual strategic benefit planning and change impact

  • Experience working with compliant standard and custom benefit plans

  • Experience working with Facets

  • Experience with product portfolio and annual life-cycle process in the healthcare industry
